To manage RTD activities and implement EUCLOCK's objectives, the question-driven experimental
flow for both the animal and the human experiments is logically broken down into four Sub-
Projects that will organise their various aims into workpackages. Sub-Projects 1 through 3 will focus on the three traditional model systems, humans, mice, and flies. Sub-Project 4 will be responsible for organising the screening and identification of new mutants (or alleles or genes) within each of the traditional model systems and will supply them to the other three Sub-Projects to investigate their role in the circadian clock and its entraining mechanisms. In addition, Sub-Project 4 will generate novel insights into the genetic and cellular principles of entrainment.
